Cannonball Adderley SOMETHIN' ELSE - Classic Records single LP MONO edition - sealed, mint and long out print. Hear the album the way it was intended: In my opinion the stereo edition suffers from hard left/hard right instrument placement (with a small, boxy piano left of center), plus some reverb added to try to make the whole thing gel. The mono mix is impeccable, with outstanding front to back placement and clarity.
Either way, it's one of my all-time favorites: To my ears Cannonball seemed to have a bottomless well of melodic ideas. A perfect album from the greatest post-Parker alto player in history. PLUS Miles and Art Blakey!
