Reprise PRO 547 by Capt Beefheart aka Don Van Vliet: Too Much Time b/w Low Yo Yo Stuff. Extremely rare and extremely beautiful condition copy of this industry only promo copy, with 2 tracks from the Clear Spot Lp, in a heavy cardboard gatefold sleeve with crescent shaped die cut inner pocket, including 6 page booklet insert, containing original Don Van Vliet artwork depicting members of his band. The gatefold sleeve is intact, sharp, crisp, and free of any ring wear on the front, and has the tiniest bit of ring wear on the back. There is some flattening wear along the middle of the top seam. The right top corner has a tiny amount of crushing and a 1/4 inch diagonal wrinkle. The other three corners have small tip rubs. The interior is clean and bright, without wear. The labels look new, and are unmarked. The vinyl looks new,and is an unmarked, glassy expanse, excepting a faint crescent dust mark on one side which conforms to the crescent die cut opening of the inner sleeve. This was probably played two or three times at most. The insert is clean and crisp, and was at one time folded in half, which has creased across the middle. Otherwise the insert is new looking, and unmarked. This is from the very early 1970s, and many serious Beefheart collectors will be seeing it here for the first time. Reprise wouldn't have pressed very many copies, maybe 200 to 300, maybe less. A search of online resources shows no trace of this ever being sold on ebay. Grade sleeve VG++ for the corner crush, Grade vinyl M-.
