Description
Captain Beefheart and His Magic Band - Safe as Milk LP USA Stereo Issue Buddah LP from 1967.
On offer here is one of the defining albums of the 1960's, Safe as Milk has it all in abundance and blows away almost everything else recorded by any other band of the era ... well that's my take on it. This is one of albums that should have been really really BIG !!! But it was poorly recorded and marketed and flopped commercially. It has of course gone on to be heralded as a work of genius and the rest is history...
The vinyl is graded VG although it is very clean, the sound quality is much thinner than the mono release (the stereo version was created from a mono fold down - whatever that means). That said it is still a decent copy and is an original.
The classic USA design cover is pretty solid with only light handling marks and edge wear, the seams are pretty good and the image both front and back remain clear and bright. There is no writing or unwanted graffiti and overall is a pretty decent cover.
Plain inner sleeve only and no bumper sticker.
This is a classic album, in any age and by any artist this would be considered a masterpiece and belongs in every good record collection. This is a decent original and will at the very least fill that gap until you can find / afford a true mono version.
... Listing a handful of other blues LP's if you want to have a look.
