This is the rare Liberty black label, UK stereo issue, stereo logo gatefold cover featuring the dull red/green Beefheart postage stamp (see photos). Special features: Back cover: Liberty Records Limited London W1. (Blue/Black'Liberty Stereo' [logo] LBS 83172E) Label radius text ends "A product of Liberty/UA Records Ltd.England".
Slightly rarer than the well-known and sought after Mono version, this doesn’t often come up for sale, especially not in this condition:great all-round copy.
Cover: Gatefold cover, clean, all sides true and complete no rips or tears, light scuffing on corners only, small biro name on front top, despite this would still grade as EX- given the usual condition these albums turn up in (see photos).
Inner sleeve: Generic new white poly-lined inner sleeve.
Labels: Clean black Liberty labels, nice condition, light biro name on S1 (see photos) VG+/EX-
Vinyl: retains its original sheen, a few wispy hairlines (under light) from sleeve removal, couple of light non-obtrusive surface marks only, visually solid EX, so EX/EX-
Audio: Lovely warm sound with clear definition and an extensive dynamic range; no skips, sticks, pops or crackle, plays clean at constant EX/EX-
