This is one of those very special records that is really an event.
Produced and recorded by George Cardas -- yes, of cable fame -- it is of a small ensemble of trombone, clarinet, banjo, bass, washboard, and vocals, that simply carts you away.
Captured "live" at the Bridges Hall of Music on the Pomona College Campus, California, in 1990, Cardas himself did the engineering, with the end result being a sense of actually "seeing" the players, all of the space simply an image before you in the listening.
A concert in your listening room of just two cuts, WELL YOU NEEDN’T, based on Jelly Roll Morton’s 1930 Ponchartrain, and SWEET LOTUS BLOSSOM. (Both tracks definitely with audiophile "juice.")
A beautiful piece of vinyl, this is the original release, jacket without fault, record within is all ashine. Should play near mint, perhaps better.

Shipping and handling is $5 for up to 5 LPs shipped within the States. Internationally, $15 via airmail for the first LP, $3 each thereafter. (Canada is half that.) Boxes over 4 lbs., add another $6, because First Class is no longer available at that weight, just Priority Mail. Note, too, boxed sets of LPs require more postage.
