Up for Sale is a VERY RARE & ORIGINAL 1958 Mono Carl Perkins Lp Whole Lotta Shakin' from Columbia Records!
The Lp itself I will rate at VG. The reason I rate the LP VG because it does have surface scratches on both sides and some minor scratches from being just over 60 years old. Considering the LP's age it does sound pretty decent on my system. I just re-listened to this Lp so I would have a better understanding of the sound quality as it relates to the condition of hearing the songs being played.
Side 1- Song 1- Light crackle heard at the beginning, with crackle here and there through out the song but for the most part the music drowns it out, nice raucous song. Crackle heard at the end when the song fades out. Song 2- Light crackle that isn't heard too much. Song 3-Crackle and light pop heard at the beginning of Song 3. Song 4-relatively quiet compared to the others that have crackle. Song 5- Has constant light/medium pop through out the song, so it is noticeable. Song 6- Light crackle and pops heard but do not distract from listening to this song, much if any.
Side 2- Song 1- has some crackle that can be heard at the beginning and average crackle that runs through out the song. An average pop heard near the beginning...crackle heard more evident towards the end of the song. Song 2- crackle continues into this song, goes away more but not completely towards the middle of the song, might not sound as evident because the song gets going and gets louder. A Light pop here and there crackle comes back and is heard more towards the middle/ end of the song. Song 3-  Light crackle with a light pop here and there. Crackle isn't as loud as it is from Song 2. Song 4- crackle with light/medium pops heard here and there through out the song. Song 5- starts off well, plays decent through out, crackle and pops heard at the end of the song. Song 6- plays well, not too much distraction until the end.
I literally JUST listened to this Lp, both sides, less than 5 days ago, and then I wrote down how I heard playback for every song as best I could. I'm fortunate in that I have a pretty forgiving turntable system when it comes to LP's that might not be Mint or Near Mint or just LP's that are over 30-40+ years old. I played the Lp through a 1978 Technics SL-B2 belt driven turntable, a 2005 Harmon Kardon Receiver, 2 DCM bookshelf speakers, 2 DCM floor speakers all connected with basic Home Depot speaker wire. If that info. helps in your decision, all the better.  :)
The Lp Cover I will rate anywhere between a G+/VG because it does show it's age. Other than an almost inch tear along the top right and bottom right near the opening the Lp looks pretty decent for being just over 60 years old. There is some little writing on the back cover, which can be seen. The Spine has some wear but is not in completely terrible condition, again considering it's age.
