Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs, pressed in Japan
Cat# MFSL 1-506
I have owned this record since I bought it new in 1982. It has been played by stylus once only, on a high-end system, and then copied to cassette for everyday listening. I have recently played it on my ELP laser turntable (see photo), and can confirm its pristine condition. This record was cut at a low level because of its length (60mins), and it is a testament to the superb quality of the Japanese pressing that the surface noise is almost non-existent. On other vinyl versions of Carmina Burana the surface noise is at an unacceptably high level.
The record has been cleaned on a Keith Monks record cleaning machine, and will be supplied with a Mobile Fidelity anti-static sleeve.
Happy bidding - I have set the start price at a low £18.00, as I anticipate plenty of interest.
