Description
This record is from my private collection and has been in storage for some 30 years. Although it has been played my turntables were either a Sota Star Sapphire or J A Michell Gyro SE both with SME tonearms. I was in the high end audio business for some 35 years and so had the ability and equipment needed to set these turntables correctly.
As to condition of the album cover I would rate as VG. Problems would be; upper right corner has been clipped on a 45 degree angle (the factory did this because this was to be a demo record), lower right corner slight dent (see photo), on bottom seam split (about two inches-see photo). All of these flaws can be seen in the photos when you use the magnifier tool. In the second photo of the album opened with both front and back showing there is seen a white line running top to bottom. This is not a break in the albums binding but the lettering on the spine. As to the record itself I would rate it as Mint. There are no marks or scratches (major or minor) on the surface of the disc, the labels look perfect. The records "look" unplayed, I have played these however, but only once or twice. When playing the only noise is in the lead-in groves before the music starts. It's a slight static sound common to most records. In the late 70’s and early 80”s I worked for Audio-Technica. A-T was the sole importers of Telarc records to this country at that time. As such we were sent the first pressing of new records to demo to dealers and to take orders. All are the factories earliest imported pressings from the late 1970's- early 1980's. Often I got 3-4 of each album. I realized early on what great recordings these were and socked away some of my favorites albums. All LP’s will be packed in boxes design for LP’s made of corrugated cardboard. I will give reduced shipping rates on multiple PL purchases.
