Description
Carnivore - Self Titled LP 1st US Pressing (Red Labels) Thrash Metal Type O Negative . Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS Media Mail.
The first US pressing of this album was released in 1986 on Roadracer / Roadrunner / Greenworld. It has red labels on the record and no insert included. There is a version with white labels, an insert, and a pink "hype" sticker, that was released in the same year, but this version was first.
Run-out groove (Side III): SPREAD YOUR LEGS ILL SEED YOUR EGGS S-15740 GWD-90534-AS G-1
- Run-out groove (Side IV): YOUR DEALING WITH THE CASKET CREW S-15741 GWD-90534-BS G-1
The record looks a bit beat up with a good number of scratches and smudges on either side. They mostly appear to be very light, though some are quite long. There is likely nothing bad enough to cause a skip, or ruin the listening experience, but there may be some surface noise in the quiet parts, and maybe a few pops and clicks here and there. Probably not much that is noticeable over the music but definitely noticeable in the empty spaces between songs. I can't rate it better than G+ just because of how it looks but it likely plays closer to VG.
No insert was included with the initial US pressing.
Like the record, the cover is a bit beat up. There is minor ring wear visible on front and back. The top left corner has a bend that has resulted in a more significant than normal vein. There are a couple other stray veins on the back cover along with the usual ones near the edge on front and back. There was a Roadrunner change of address sticker placed over the address under the Roadracer logo, on the back cover. Someone has removed it and there is a tiny bit of sticker smudge left. It can possibly be removed. The spine edge has suffered some significant wear. The titles are mostly worn off and the raw cardboard underneath is exposed in a few places. All the damage can clearly be seen in the pictures I have included. I can't rate this cover better than G+ because of the spine, but the damage isn't quite bad enough to make your record collection look trashy.
Overall, a highly collectible first pressing, but keep in mind when bidding, that it does have some significant wear and tear.
