Carpenters ~ Offering - A & M Records - WITHDRAWN COVER - RARE
A definite collector's item for the die-hard CARPENTERS fan!
This is The Carpenters first album for A&M Records, released in 1969. Although the album contained a cover of The Beatles "Ticket to Ride," which was a minor hit, the album only sold several thousand copies with this initial cover. With the subsequent success of the duo's sophomore effort, "Close to You," the album was repackaged as "Ticket to Ride" with a totally different cover.
It is fairly rare to find this recording in the original "Offering" packaging. The cover in rated very good with minor wear (see photos). The vinyl is also very good with no major scratching and some residue from handling (see photos).
