Description
Castle Farm - Hot Rod Queen/Mascot
Rare 7" From 1972, Probable Private Pressing, PS
Farm Records, FARM 1
Can't claim to know much about this, other than the band were popular in the Chelmsford area of Essex in the late 1960s and early 1970s and this was probably their only single. I believe they even had some John Peel airplay when this single was released in 1972, and it's almost certainly a self-funded private pressing. Musically, it's actually a very professional affair: early 70s rock (n'roll) with some superb guitar work, maybe a little bit Mott The Hoople (without Hunter's vocals, but still a very good vocalist). That's about all I know, but I think this is the kind of item that's definitely worth taking a punt on - grab it now while you can!
* I've recently discovered that the guitarist on this single was Denny Newman, who went on to work with Manfred Mann and is a bit of a blues guitar legend, which even at this early age is quite apparent.

PHOTOGRAPHS & DESCRIPTIONS:
All photographs show the actual item for sale - I don't sell multiple items, and definitely don't use other people's photos stolen from other listings. All descriptions are as honest and as accurate as possible. Should you need any more information about an item, I'm very happy to answer any questions you have. In certain circumstances, I can also provide extra photographs via your email service (they can't be added to the eBay listing).
PAYMENT & POSTAGE:
Paypal preferred; personal cheques from UK bidders only. I specialise in shipping safely to the USA; airmail postage and packing totals £3.49, which is about $5.50. Bidders from Europe, North America, Japan and Australia/NZ have two postage choices: standard Airmail, or an International Signed For service which is a little safer but more expensive. Bidders from elsewhere in the world (especially south-east Asia) MUST pay for the more expensive Signed For option - so please think very carefully before you bid. If you have any questions about postage or about the item itself, please ask before bidding.
