THE RECORD THAT STARTED IT ALL. "Dear Sir is the debut album by American singer/songwriter Chan Marshall, also known as Cat Power, released in October 1995 on Runt Records. The 2001 Plain Recordings reissue adds an alternate recording of the song "Great Expectations" as the eighth track. The cover art depicts text superimposed over a male torso. The album features Steve Shelley on drums and Tim Foljahn on guitar. Chan Marshall does the singing and plays guitar as well. It is the shortest Cat Power album, not counting her EPs."

This is the first Chan Marshall release, the original 10" pressing of "DEAR SIR" on Runt Records. The sleeve is a strong VG+ and the vinyl is NM.
