How I Grade Records - (and covers if not described above)
M : Mint, a brand new record.    (covers : no corner dings no edge wear possibly still in shrink wrap)
M-/MINT- : means mint minus, no notable scratches or wear  probably rarely played  (covers : no corner dings - no or barely noticeable edge or surface wear)
VG+ :   a used, reasonable copy. There will be obvious signs of wear and the possibility of light surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages, but still quite nice.  (covers :very  light corner wear /light edge / surface wear)  
VG : Very Good - a used played copy. There will be obvious signs of wear and likely light to moderate surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages. (covers : noticeable corner / edge wear - light surface wear)  
VG- : Very Good Minus - significant wear and marks and usually quite noticeable surface noise. (covers :multiple corner dings / light edge creases and noticeable edge wear)
