Description

Beautiful original copy of Cat Steven's 1970 magnum opus, 'Mona Bone Jakon',  (ILPS 9118) on Island records with the much sought after pink label and white 'i' logo.  The vinyl is in excellent condition and the audio quality is superb with both sides having a clean and crisp sound, save for an occasional crackle on Track 3 Side 2 ('Katmandu') and very light surface noise. There are no scratches or jumps and the vinyl retains its original vibrant sheen.This first pressing has the 'Sterling LH / RL' stamper.

The sleeve is in very good condition - the spine is excellent and completely intact, the front cover shows some slight wear (see photo) and scuffing to edges whislt the back cover is excellent (see photo). The record also comes with a printed inner lyric sleeve which is also in very good condition (see sample from photo).

An excellent opportunity to acquire this highly desirable piece of Cat Stevens brilliance on the original Island label.
