Description

An original very 1st press of TATFC on the UK Island label. Matrix A3U/B3U - very 1st cut. Stampers 'Sterling LH'. Stampers 1-RD/2-MP. The heavy-set vinyl come housed in an original textured cover printed by E J Day. We have an original generic white inner sleeve from the time [not the blue Island inner].
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In great condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a few back-rash type low-level marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveal a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with one deviation. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with superb clarity. You're going to really need a clean player for this fully acoustic release. I'm pleased to report whilst not utterly perfect it's a very clean player with little sign of background. Just a touch of lightest static in a couple of isolated moments per side. 'MORNING HAS BROKEN' is one of the trickiest tracks to find playing clean. This copy absolutely aces it - with just a few crackles toward the end of the track and a couple of pops. Overall a beautiful player delivering some very fine audio.
Cover (Vg+) An original cover and it becomes clear very quickly why it was that they decided to move away from the textured design - because they picked up dirt so so easily. But this example is looking pretty tidy - just lightest signs of handling. No noticeable wear at all. The interior looks great - no issues. There's edge wear but it is relatively minor. There is one small 1 inch patch of wear-through..at the midpoint of the top of the right panel. There's a bit of wear on the spine, but the text all still seems to be fully legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Bit of ageing. One small bottom edge split has been taped up.
