Description
This auction is for an original UK pressing of Cathedral's landmark debut album Forest of Equilibrium, released in 1991 on Earache Records.
This is the gatefold edition featuring the full cover art by Dave Patchett and band photo inside the gatefold. This copy is sadly missing the original printed inner sleeve and instead comes with a generic plain inner. There is also no hype/barcode sticker on the front as with some examples.
I bought this online five or six years ago and have played it handful of times since. As far as I recall there are some slight crackles in the quieter sections but nothing excessive. The record would benefit from a quick clean as I have no cleaning equipment.
The surface of the discs are still nice and glossy and the centre stickers are intact and unmarked. The sleeve is a little worn in places from shelfwear and the like, with foxed corners and the odd crease as photographed.
I'm no audiophile and don't claim to be a record expert when it comes to grading. I would consider the record to be in very good + condition with the sleeve a very good grade. Please ensure you are happy with the condition based on the photos, and expect playback quality to be consistent with a record of this age that has been played a lot by multiple owners.
