This is a very good condition copy of the rather rare record by American Soprano Opera singer and composer Berberian. It features 12 quirky baroque-style cover versions of songs by The Beatles. The instrumental backing was scored for a classical string quartet or wind quintet plus harpsichord or organ. The original cover illustration for the album was by Gerald Scarfe (credited as Sir Ralph Godstrouser-Legge R. A.)
Recorded in Paris in 1966 this is the original Polydor pressing from 1967.
A must for Beatles collectors and fans, this is a rare chance to own this unique record!
The lp plays through with minimal surface noice, there are no major scratches or clicks, a couple of visible hairlines, but its been played a few times. I'm rating it Very Good Plus but its closer to Excellent considering its age.
The sleeve is in pretty good nick, the glue has gone from half of the bottom seam so its no longer sealed. There are some storage marks on the back. I've taken plenty of pics to show the condition.
