Description

Cecil Gant 13 1/4” metal demo acetate 78  How Can I Sleep (alternate take)
b/w A rehearsal instrumental and an ad lib rehearsal version of “How Long” which sounds like he doesn’t have lyrics for, and it ends with studio chatter with Cecil and the engineer. Recording Studio 500 N Western Ave label
One song title is written on one side of label. No numbers inscribed in demo acetate
The playing grooves are in a little cloudy VG++ condition.   This must have stood in 4 Star studio warehouse untouched and unplayed for over 75 years.
You can hear samples of 3 songs from both sides taken from this 12” metal demo acetate by clicking the player below  .
