Centipede Septober Energy UK Double LP 1st press Neon RCA NE 9 1971 

Septober Energy is the only album of the jazz / progressive rock band Centipede produced by Robert Fripp under the musical direction of Keith Tippett, it was originally released 1971 in the UK as a double LP. The album is a four-part suite consisting of four tracks of about 20 minutes each.

This I believe is a 1st press 

Side 1: AGBS 0604-2E

Side 4: AGBS 0607-4E

The vinyl's are in excellent condition with a very high deep sheen and no scratches. There are a couple of very short and very fine hairline marks not much more than paper marks needless to say the records play excellent the only issue is that there is some light background noise in quiet spots but basically it play excellent 

Labels The labels are excellent with no wear around the spindle holes. There are no unwanted marks

The sleeve The gate fold sleeve is in very good condition There is a 1cm rubbing (only a rubbing not a seam split) on the spine near the top corner but otherwise the edges have no wear and as can be seen in the pictures the spine has clear writing. However there is a price label on the front cover and several indentations also on the front cover (near the spine) These can be seen in picture 5. Needless to say that a white cover does have handling marks  

Inner Sleeve's The original polylined black inner sleeves are in good condition and have some creasing and one has a tear on the centre rim

Record Collectors Grading System

Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.

Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening of sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration etc..

Fair: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise: it may even jump. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

Poor: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise etc.. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

Bad: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler
