Description
Here’s one for the serious disco crates.
Cerrone – “Hooked On You”, on the original 1981 Canadian Black Sun BS-2 12-inch—a beautifully preserved copy of a surprisingly elusive Cerrone release.
By 1981, Cerrone had already helped define the massive, orchestral European disco sound with records like Love in C Minor, Supernature and Je Suis Music. “Hooked On You” comes from the other side of that peak period: leaner, harder and built for the dance floor.
This Canadian 12-inch pairs the full 5:36 “Hooked On You” with “Happiness Pill” (4:14) on the flip.
The Canadian connection matters. Black Sun was a Montreal-based label, and contemporary British disco coverage in September 1981 specifically reported Cerrone’s Canadian Black Sun BS-2 import arriving on 12-inch—meaning this isn’t simply a later compilation appearance or generic reissue. It’s the period club record.
Even better, this copy retains the distinctive original die-cut Unidisc company sleeve, with the Black Sun label visible through the center opening.

For the Cerrone collector, disco DJ or anyone building a serious collection of original late-’70s/early-‘80s club pressings, this is exactly the kind of record that gets considerably harder to replace once it’s gone.
