Description

The Champs - Tequila, I'll Be There, Train To Nowhere and Lollipop / 1958 Challenge 45rpm EP / Great!

Songs: Tequila, I'll Be There, Train To Nowhere and Lollipop

Hard to find original 1958 45rpm 4 song EP by The Champs.

About song "Tequila": Saxophone player Chuck Rio had the melody kicking around for a while, and would play it as an interlude during the group's club shows. He was a tequila drinker, so when the band decided to record his song, he named it "Tequila" and added the spoken title, which he voiced. "Tequila" became one of the top hits of the 1950s charting at number 1 for 5 consecutive weeks. This 45 is in NM- condition. Great sound and very glossy. Hard to find and very cool Cardboard sleeve is NM+, no seam tears, bright colors, no ring wear (see photos).

All items fully guaranteed. Free quick US shipping🎁
