Description

For sale is a VG+ to VG++ (based on how strictly you would personally grade it) Charles Bronson - Youth Attack! 12" record- one of the 1st pressings on the  Lengua Armada Discos ?(LA-13) label. Released in 1997 originally, as was this one. 1,333 are known to exist from this 1st press-- 1k were pressed on black vinyl and contained the gigantic foldout poster (I would classify that as in VG++ condition as well- no rips or tears and it is folded neatly within the record's sleeve), and 333 were on clear vinyl, in a metal sleeve/casing, and they were hand-numbered on the center labels.

This is one of the 1k variety on black vinyl, with the gigantic foldout poster (as shown in full in photos, from multiple positions- closeups, size-comps, as well as the entire poster).

The entire package is VG+ - VG++. Record is VG++. Sleeve is VG to VG+. Poster is VG++. If I am trying to grade unbiased and fairly. The only issue with the sleeve is the record having pressed against it for so many years now, it shows a slight marking. There is also a checkered mark on the lower right-hand corner. Otherwise, it's in great shape, too. With a plastic sleeve on I didn't even notice it until I went to take the photos.

This is one of only 999 others in existence from the first run. Still plays great. Charles Bronson were a pivotal thrash/hardcore/powerviolence band from Dekalb, Illinois in the mid-late nineties, and were a big inspiration on the genre and members from its former existence are still doing great things in other bands to this day. I think this is one of their earlier releases. Known for short songs with blast beats and often satire-filled lyrics or undertones, their 15-30 second songs still blitz through the stereo system and sound great, I can attest to this after testing this record one last time before putting it up (and taking photos etc. for this auction to begin with, for that matter).

This band was great and this is a fun record to just play and let rip straight through. Flip sides. Maybe repeat a few times if really in the right mood. It's somewhat rare, and I'm not really sure how often it pops up on auction sites (I rarely even see CB in record shops these days and am in Chicago/IL areas...), but I left the best offer option open just in case. I do believe with this being 1st print, it's rather rare- even if it's not one of the 333 on clear wax. The 1k came with the posters, to boot (see the comp pic for size idea, but if you need me to, I can measure it for you as well).

Thanks for checking this out. I'm in the middle of an upcoming move and needing to purge some stuff, plus trying to help a friend raise a little money. So while I hate to sell some of my vinyl, the rarer ones will bring back a bit and help out for now and help me make room for later.... And hopefully they find good owners for their new homes who enjoy them as much as I did.

If you have any questions or need more photos, please let me know. I can also measure the poster, if needed. Thanks!
