Bethlehem SBCP 6019
Rare 1957 first US stereo pressing. Blue labels. Deep groove pressing.
One of Mingus' finest and rarest early LPs, with Bill Evans on piano.
Record is visually and audibly in VG+ to VG++ condition. Both playing surfaces are generally clean with just a few scattered light scuffs. It plays really nice throughout, just some occasional surface noise, some of which I think is inherent in the pressing. The record is pressed on what appears to be styrene (a vinyl substitute used by several US labels). It certainly has the telltale signs - relatively inflexible, thick but light, with a characteristic 'ting' sound when you tap the edge, as opposed to the dull thud if you tap the edge of a vinyl record..
The cover is VG++. Front laminated. No seam splits, just two spots where the top layer of the slick has torn on the front, and one on the back.
