Description
Up for bid is a rare 3 LP set, "Passions of A Man - An Anthology of His Atlantic Recordings," by Charles Mingus. This is a 3 LP white label test pressing set, released by Atlantic (SD 3-600). Interior labels on all 3 LPs are white. Interior label on sides 1 & 2 have typed info, while the remainder of the interior labels are blank test pressing white labels (see pictures). Etched matrix info and description for each LP is follows:
Sides 1 & 2: ST-794257-A / ST-794258-A - LP is VG++, with faint scuffs on either side. LPs plays with minimal surface noise (crackle and tics). LP is very clean and retains a nice gloss.
Sides 3 & 4: ST-794259B / ST-794260B - LP is VG++, with faint scuffs on either side. LPs plays with minimal surface noise (crackle and tics). LP is very clean and retains a nice gloss.
Sides 5 & 6: ST-794261-A / ST-A-794262A - LP is VG++, with faint scuffs on either side. LPs plays with minimal surface noise (crackle and tics). LP is very clean and retains a nice gloss.

Each LP comes in a plain white jacket, with a white info sheet taped to the front. Each jacket shows corner and seam wear. Each jacket has a seam split in the center of the top seam, about an inch long. Each LP and jacket are stored in an indivdual poly bag. Don't miss this extremely rare set! We will pack this securely for safe delivery - this will be a little heavy due to the LP inserts we put in the LP mailer. LPs will be shipped outside of each jacket. Domestic Delivery will be via Media Mail including delivery confirmation. International delivery is First Class International.
