Description

Charles Mingus Presents Charles Mingus is the original 1961, Deep Groove release on Candid Records. Musicians on this release include Charles Mingus, bass; Eric Dolphy, reeds; Ted Carson, trumpet; and Dannie Richmond, drums. This LP has been stamped on the front and back covers as an “Audition Record”.

This record has been cleaned and play graded. The record surfaces are rated as Excellent, with clean, quiet surfaces. The record cover is in G+ condition - the front cover is marked with a sticker in the upper left corner, an Audition Record stamp, and light ring wear on the textured front cover (see photos). The back cover is unmarked except for 2 Audition Record stamp marks and that same darn sticker in the upper right corner. The record may be in its original paper sleeve (it looks aged enough). The upper seam and spine are fragile and tattered, with a split in the upper corner where the sticker is located, as shown in the photos. The labels are each marked Audition Record, with very slight spindle wear.
