Charles Mingus on Charles Mingus 001/002 SIGNED

 

This is the second issue of Charles Mingus “Mingus at Monterey” from his own Charles Mingus label 001/002.  The two deep-groove stereo LPs are in near-new condition, with a high luster; perhaps played once.  The color gatefold cover is clean and bright throughout; 2” split/wear on the top seam of both  covers; the bottom seam of the front cover has 3 ½” split/wear at the opening; the bottom seam of the back cover has 5” split/wear at the opening.  The gatefold is boldly signed by Mingus.  Personnel include Charles McPherson, John Handy, Lonnie Hillyer, Dannie Richmond, and Jaki Byard
