This record is from a collection of jazz records purchased from 71 year old jazz drummer, Eddie Rubin, a longtime session player in Los Angeles who played with many of the West Coast jazz greats in the 50's, 60's and 70's. They are all one owner records, maintained lovingly by Eddie personally, some of them purchased by him as a teenager.

Separation on A side label. (See Photo) This is the real deal one of those records that only comes along once in a blue moon. Eddie bought this 10 inch gem as a 16 year old and has held on to it ever since, keeping it in fine shape. Plays strong, very little to no noise. Play grades, when provided in the listing, are based on spot playing of the uncleaned record on average quality mid range non pricey equipment. Our grading adheres closely to these standards. Please do not "hope" for the item to be superior to the stated grade as we try very hard to be accurate and true to the grading criteria that follow.

Record appears as nearly new with brilliant sheen. Perhaps 1 or 2 very, very light, small scuffs obviously not interfering with play quality. No scratches of any kind. Label is flawless. Plays flawlessly with next to no surface noise, nice rich tone superior to digital recordings. Nearly as new, with no indication of any damage. Not quite like a new cover, yet no noticeable flaws of any kind. Original sheen apparent. VG+++ Near mint, except may have 1-3 very light sleeve or very light surface scratches. Brilliant sheen. Label is flawless. Plays flawlessly on cuts, may hear a tiny bit of surface noise between cuts. Nothing audible from any sleeve scuffs or scratches. Rich tone. Coloring of cover appears new, may have a small crease or two that is barely noticeable. No other problems. No ring wear. Original sheen appears as new. VG++ Record has brilliant sheen and nearly no scuffs or scratches of any kind. The very few, very fine, light marks obviously will not be audible. Label is flawless. Shows little to no hole wear. Plays through all minor scuffs or scratches with nothing audible. Rich tone. Or may be high quality deep groove record with outstanding fidelity and very minor noise. Same as above, but may have a couple more minor problems which are largely unnoticeable except to the fastidious eye. No ring wear. No seam splits. VG+ Record has nice sheen, no deep groove marks from repetitious play. No scuffs or scratches that can be felt with finger. Label has no marks or significant discoloration, excessive hole wear, or fading. Record sheen remains strong, no evidence of heavy play. May have a few light scratches that do not effect play. Plays through any visible marks with only very occasional small audible minor crackles or ticks. Tones remain rich. Can still sit right next to record and not be annoyed with consistent noise. May have some intermittent small tick noises that can be heard upon occasion. Shows some wear, but no significant discoloration. No seam splits or seam splits neatly glue repaired with non-toxic glue. If glued, no glue left within cover causing sleeve to stick. If seams taped, has transparent clear tape, barely visible. No marks on front. Back also clean, may have one or two marks or small writing. May have creases, some beginning ring wear, or a small price tag tear. VG Has significant amount of scuffs or scratches, none of which are "feelable". May have one or two small scratches or scuffs that would appear to be audible. May have some fading on the label or noticeable small spots where price tag or sticker taken off the label. Pen or pencil markings or stickers may be present on label. Plays nicer than it looks, with moderate noise underneath soundtrack. Soundtrack tone & quality strong enough to overwhelm the defects, still providing an enjoyable listening experience. May show some discoloration, fading. Seams likely split or taped. Pen or pencil marks limited to back cover. Some creasing may be apparent. Some ring wear and seam wear probably apparent. Some small tears may be seen. VG- Lots of scratches or scuffs. Some scratches can be felt with finger. Looks like some parts of record will play nicely. Sure to be some ticking or noise of some kind. No real deep scratches that are crossed over each other and likely to cause sticking. May have some pen or pencil markings or stickers on label. Plays ok. Considerable ticks or scratch sounds throughout record, yet soundtrack dominant over noise. Plays through with no sticking and no more than a couple small skips. Seam splits greater than 6" in at least one place, no repair. May be some water damage limited to specific area. Sticker tears or other tears prominent. Heavy creases may be noticed. At least some significant discoloration and ring wear likely to be apparent. G+ Looks bad, with a ton of scuffs or scratches, but 80% of them still can't be felt with finger. Label may be faded or have markings. No deep scratches crossing over one another that look like they could cause sticking. Plays through with significant noise beneath the soundtrack. Noise is tolerable as soundtrack is still dominant with decent tone. May have a few good cuts, probably inner ones toward the label. Most likely discolored. May have a couple of marks. Seam splitting likely, but not total. If seam splits repaired, tape may be noticeable. Water damage likely to be apparent in more than one area of cover. Heavy ring wear likely. G Looks bad with lots of scuffs or scratches, many of which can be felt with finger. Label may be real faded or marked up significantly. Some deep scratches may cross over each other, possibly leading to sticking. Noise audible with a lot of significant crackling. May stick once or twice. Likely to have pops and skips. Have to really love the record to listen, but you can hear it ok. May have a few good cuts, probably inner ones toward the label. Real rough. May be parts torn off parts of label, several markings, faces with mustaches, etc. Seams likely trashed. If seam splits repaired, done with ugly tape. Totally ring worn. Likely to be heavy water damage. G- No cracks in record, but looks like it's been through a war. Probably won't play through without sticking and skipping. Lots of pops. Noise dominates. May only want record for cover if cover is decent. Major problems. Water damage may be present over entire cover, all seams split and unreparable. May be scorching, burn marks, pretty well trashed. Cardboard will barely hold record and that's about it. Totally ring worn.
