Description
For many years I did promotion for music labels, large and small, and have accumulated product not only from labels I represented but labels I competed with as well. Understand this was not a collection as such; it was the residue of what I did for a living. These discs were not stored in air tight lockers of keep in a temperature controlled clean room, they were in boxes and shelf’s in my office and although they may have never been removed from the dust jacket please expect dust and even some light scratching. Others have survived the passage of time in undisturbed factory shrink as this example. From 1977 we have for a no reserve auction a never opened, limited edition (# 443/4000) completely factory sealed copy of the Warner Brothers Records, deluxe Charlie Parker, six disc box set “Charlie Parker”, catalogue # 6BS 3159. I see on the internet that this release contains the complete Dial Records sessions. This set was made from the British Spotlite label masters (you can see the original Spotlite catalogue numbers crossed-out in the dead wax of the Warner’s LPs). The box is cloth covered and contained a nice booklet along with the six LPs. Each LP in the set featured special artwork which was specifically commissioned for this release.
