Description
Tangerine/yellow label with "dial" printed in white. Performers and tunes in black print. Original L.P. issue. Deep groove. Side A, 4 tracks with Parker's Quintet. Leader, Parker, alto sax; Miles Davis, trumpet; Duke Jordan, piano; Max Roach, drums; Tommy Potter, bass. Side B, 4 tracks with Parker's Sextet. Same personnel as Side A with the addition of J.J.Johnson, trombone. Very rare.
Cover: Fair+ Bottom edge and spine have completely split. Light overall aging with light soil from ordinary handling. Small stain from fromer scotch tape repair along 3" of the bottom edge. Creases and some wear on 3 corners. List of available Dial records on the back cover.
Record: VG++ Visually shows no wear. 2 faint, surface rub marks on Side A. 4 rub marks on Side B. There are some faint intervals of light background groove noise on Side A. This is mainly on Track 1. There are 3 or 4 clicks. There is some faint background groove noise on Track 1, Side B. There are 2 or 3 clicks and slight groove noise at the end of Track 4 on Side B. The balance of Side B has no surface noise. In general, this is one of the better DIAL L.P. pressings. Overall fine sound. Audibly checked.
