Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie "Bird and Diz" First Issue MERCURY Labels (Not the later Clef) MG C-512 A RARE Record
Record is VG- The record plays through with no skips and retains fidelity, but visible scratches and scuffs are obvious and audible. Still a decent listen. Cover is VG-/VG because of a full split along the top spine, but the front and back are as nice as any original Mercury copy I've seen. Some light remnants of (tape?) residue on front left. The back is nice and aged.
The bottom line is, this record isn't the cleanest example, but it is the ORIGINAL Mercury issue and plays better than it looks. If you've been looking for a copy, this is your chance to fill a gap. I was going to frame this one, but I'll let the other jazz heads out there try to snag it. Happy Bidding!
