Description

This is Clef Records MG C-646, The Magnificent Charlie Parker, a black trumpet label deep groove mono original LP issue of this classic compilation produced by Norman Granz and featuring  Miles Davis or Red Rodney. The record is in VG++ condition, showing some light marks, mostly on side 2, which do not effect the play. The record plays quietly throughout. Remarkable for a piece this old. The beautiful David Stone Martin cover is excellent and intact but has light pencil markings on the back. The labels show only light spindle marks but have an address label attached.  The records have been  cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12.  An excellent, collectors grade copy of this wonderful set. This is part of a large jazz collection I will be posting over the next few months.
