Description
Artist - Charlie Parker
Title - Groovin' High 1 c/w Groovin' High 2
Format - Original 10" 78 RPM (limited to 350 copies)
Label - Bop BP 3
Condition - There is one small mark at the start of side 1 which may be a pressing fault. I dont have anything to play this on so I dont know if it causes any problems. No scratches or surface scuffs, A very clean 78. There is a little damage to the label on side 1 near the spindle hole, see scan..
Description - I cant find any reference to this 78 on the Charlie Parket discographies but it seems to be taken from a radio broadcast in 1948. The Bop label appears to be French, it has limited edition of 350 copies written in French and Not Licensed For Broadcasting in English. The Label credits Charlie Parker And His Orchestra and lists Miles Davis, Charlie Parker, Tommy Potter, Al Haig and Max Roach. It comes in a Sofradi (Societe Francaise Du Disque) bag which has Paris, Bruxelles and New York addresses printed on it.
All records are shipped in card mailling boxes with extra card stiffeners. The records are removed from the sleeves to avoid seam splits.
