Description
Charlie Parker The Immortal Savoy 12001 mono Red label RVG
Charlie Parker (as), Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie (t), Bud Powell (p), Tommy Potter (b), Max Roach (d) etc Recorded 1944-1948
"Blood Red" label not the later maroon. Deep groove, but not particularly prominent, as is common on Savoys from 50s. "X20" in runouts both sides. Small hand scribed "RVG" in the runout on Side B. "58 Market Street" address on back. No printing on spine. Front cover is laminated.
The record looks VG++ and plays VG++. No scratches or heavy scuffing. Some light discoloration or blemishing of vinyl on both sides which does not affect play. Grooves do not look heavily played and do not show wear.
The cover is VG++.
The front cover looks very nice and is very bright and shiny with very light wear and a hint of ring wear. The back cover has light to moderate wear with some light pencil writing and a stamp. No seam splits. Small spots of wear at all the corners. Spine is tight and intact with spot of wear at bottom corner.
My highest grade is M- and I rarely grade 50s or 60s records M-. Records are graded visually using the Goldmine system. M-, VG++, VG+, VG, VG- etc. I play grade any potential problem areas. I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws. You will be satisfied. No hassles.
