Description
This is the original deep groove “P”-pressing of Charlie Parker “Bird Blows the Blues” on the red and yellow labels of Dial 901. The flat rim playing surface has a beautiful luster; intermittent tics throughout; the first track on Side B has a small audible scratch at the end and into the first few revolutions of the second track. The coated frame Bruce Mitchell cover is clean throughout with light rubbing on the front; two ¾” chips on the opening on the front and minor wear at the bottom; ½” chip at the lower right corner of the front; 3 ½” split on the bottom seam, at the opening; 2 ½” wear at the center of the spine; ½” chip at the top left corner of the back; 1” x ¼” chip at the lower left corner of the back. Personnel include Miles Davis, Lester Young, Howard McGhee, Dodo Marmarosa, and Max Roach. $100.00..
