A musical "Melting Pot" and a true collector's item. Originally released on the Bronx-based independent Mary Lou Records label this album is a musical "melting pot" of Salsa, Guaguanco, Latin Soul and even Doo-Wop-flavored Soul balladry. If it's true that there was a time when traditional R&B, Soul and Afro-Cuban/Afro-Puerto Rican rhythms melded effortlessly in New York City (and elsewhere) then this CD offers real proof of how sublime it was.
