Description
From the collection of a noted Australian rock’n’roll and entertainment historian comes this 1953 mono pressing of jazz legend Chet Baker. Issued on the Vogue label, catalogue LDE 116, this 10-inch LP is the Chet Baker Quartet Volume 2 Featuring Russ Freeman. It is in the desirable original mono format on beautiful heavyweight vinyl. Record in very good condition, largely pristine although there’s a light scratch across the first track of the A side which doesn’t seem to make a difference. The record itself is a bit dusty from storage and could do with a clean; I’ve left it as is. It does play with some pops and crackles. But, hey, it’s Chet Baker on original vinyl so maybe it’s part of the delicious journey that is analogue sound. Cover in good condition. Some paper loss on front, tear to edge, tear along lower edge, stains, aging and ring wear. Check my other auctions for rarities and extremities across all genres; coming up are a range of hard-to-find Australian rock including Easybeats, Raven releases and AC/DC box sets.
