Up for bid is an extremely rare LP, "Theme Music from The James Dean Story," featuring Chet Baker and Bud Shank. This is an original mono press, released by World Pacific Records (P-2005) in 1957. The interior labels are blue with gold lettering, with a deep groove on either side. Stamped matrix info reads PJ-ST-692 / PJ-ST-693. LP is VG+, with several light scuffs and a couple of light scratches on either side. LP plays with some surface noise (crackle, tics, and pops) - but no skips. LP retains a nice gloss. Jacket is VG, with several seam splits. There is a split in the center of the top seam about 1 inch long. There is a split on the top seam which starts at the mouth and travels toward the spine about three inches. There is a split on the bottom seam that starts at the mouth and travels toward the spine about 8 inches. All seams and corners have wear. There is an indentation on the top seam (see pictures). There is some light scuffing on the front and back of the jacket. Front retains a nice gloss. An original mono press of this LP is difficult to find in any condition!
