Description

 

I specialize in lost, atmospheric, and hypnotic 45s. Grading is done conservatively, visually. Check unaltered sound clips. I currently have a number of cool soul, popcorn, Latin, rockabilly, garage, R&B, country, surf, blues, funk, psychedelic, sunshine pop, mod, lounge, exotica, heavy rock, modern soul, gospel, swamp pop, Cajun, Tejano, metal, townie rock, song poem, punk, power pop, and oddball and unclassifiable instrumental 45 obscurities up for grabs. I've also listed some really fantastic and scarce garage band 45s from Texas this week.

CONDITION: VG+ (Great lustrous copy, brilliant player with some light scuffs. )

Fantastic, hip deep jazz exoticism from postwar Chicago. Sounds a bit like some of Sun Ra's exotic, Latin-tinged arrangements for other local bandleaders (sides like King Kolax's "Vivian," Paul Bascomb's "Jan" and Red Saunders's "Summertime"), possibly due to the fact that Lucius Randolph (who plays trumpet on this) and percussionist Jim Herndon had both recently played with the Arkestra. (Bassist Malachi Favors, here in his pre-Art Ensemble of Chicago years, and guitarist Ellis Hunter, are also heard.) Rollicking calypso-style jazz flip "Centipede" is really excellent too.

All other International (Europe/UK/Latin America/etc.) shipping is $14 for the first 2 45s, and $22 for 3 or more 45s.
