Description
On offer here is an original first press copy of 40 Blue Fingers Freshly Packed & Ready To Serve by Chicken Shack, released on the Blue Horizion label in 1968, catalogue number 7 - 63203.
The single front laminated sleeve (which is made by E J Day & Co. Ltd.) is in overall Excellent condition, with no laminate lift and just the outline impression of the top of the album on the front top of the cover, however the spine has wear all along it, and only a few letters are readable. For this reason it has to be graded Very Good, but the spine is the only issue with the cover, the unlaminated back is as Excellent as the front, remarkable for an album that is now 48 years old!
The vinyl is in great condition with a glossy shine to both sides and no visible defects.
I have played this album all the way through on my system (J A Michell Gyrodek, SME Series IV arm, Dynavector Coil cartridge, Naim Pre and Twin Mono Power Amps and B&W Nautilus speakers) and it is exceptional, with no noise clicks or pops, and great audio from a first press. Rated Excellent Plus!
The slightly "rough" Blue Horizion labels are in the same condition with no spindle or other marks.
Matrix numbers are A1 /B1
The record will be sent outside of it's sleeve in a polythene cover sandwiched between two 12" cardboard stiffeners in a heavy duty record mailing envelope, made by Covers 33 and used by mail order Record Companies.
