Overall Description
A lovely 1st press Blue Horizon original in very fine condition, this one should please many 60s blues and Blue Horizon collectors.
Second album from this blues quartet and a great follow-up to their famous debut Forty Blue Fingers.... Led by the charismatic and mildly eccentric Stan Webb, this album features him doing impressions of famous 1960s celebrities including: John Peel, Hughie Green, Max Wall, Kenneth Williams, Chris Wood, Harold Wilson and Steptoe and Son – to my amazement, these vocal parts, that appear between tracks, were actually omitted from the Japanese card format CDs. Featuring the wonderful Christine Perfect, later McVie and future Fleetwood Mac member.

Outer Sleeve
The laminated gatefold outer sleeve is in splendid condition. The few that I have ever seen of this record are always beat up, written on or in some other poor state, but this really looks almost brand new! There is NO writing whatsoever, No stains, No tears and No laminate lift. The only sign of its age would be a little minor shelf wear to the corners and a little minor creasing. That’s all there is to mention! The record still lies perfectly flat and square, and all the original colours looks as good as the day the record was mailed. This is a hairline from being mint, it really is, and I think many would grade as near mint, but honest is my policy! IMindblowing!!! Excellent+
Inner Sleeve
The original white inner sleeve is in superb condition, showing next to no signs of its 40 year age. There is no writing, stains, or tears. Only mild creasing to mention. Sublime Near Mint
Labels
Really nice! No rips, tear or stains. Under a strong halogen bulb, some minor hairline spindles can be seen, but very minimal. It’s clear to see this record has hardly been played! No writing at all! Excellent+
Vinyl Visual
The record looks great! I don’t think side 2 has ever been played under a strong light, maybe the faintest of hairlines can be seen, but these are more likely removal marks that have absolutely no effect on playback. Under a halogen, side 1 shows a couple of faint rubbings that again have no effect on audio! It still retains its wonderful factory shine and lustre. There is no warping whatsoever, no nasty scratches at all!! Excellent -
Vinyl Audio
The record played through sublimely! There were no skips or jumps at all. There was no distortion at all. It sounds perfectly clear. All the dynamics of the band coming through as they should, with no distortion or unwanted noise. There was barely static between the tracks, it’s that good! This truly is an audiophiles dream Excellent+

So there we have it, a stunning and super rare 1st press British blues classic, of one of the rarest Chicken Shack records ever pressed!
An utterly excellent outer sleeve housing a barely played near mint vinyl!!
