Im Jahre 1967 gründete der aus Birmingham stammende Gitarrist Stan Webb die Bluesband CHICKEN SHACK, mit den Musikern Christine Perfect (später Christine McVie), Andy Sylvester und Dave Bidwell . Das Album „40 Blue Fingers Freshly Packed & Ready To Serve“, erregte durch das provozierende Cover einiges Aufsehen. Es war ihre erste LP, die auf dem damals neuen Blueslabel BLUE HORIZON erschien. Der Produzent Mike Vernon war ein großer Bluesfan und wollte neben seiner Arbeit für DECCA auch unabhängig produzierte Platten veröffentlichen. Deshalb gründete er das Label BLUE HORIZON.



Condition “Very Good ”. Die LP hat leichte „Wischer“ die durch das Rausziehen und Reinschieben in die Innenhülle entstanden sind, in der jeweiligen Einlaufrille und vereinzelt zwischen den Stücken und an leisen Stellen ist ein leises Knistern hörbar . Einige leichte Oberflächenkratzer sind ebenfalls vorhanden die sich aber nur durch kurzes leises Knacken bemerkbar machen. Keine tiefen Kratzer die das Abspielen wesentlich stören.  Geprüft habe ich die Platte mit Kopfhören, beim Abspielen über Boxen sind diese leisen Nebengeräusche um einiges geringer. Cover: Die Laminierung ist noch recht gut erhalten und hat nur an einige Verschleißerscheinungen. Die Ecke rechts oben hat einen leichten Knick, und ist wie auch die anderen Ecken  leicht abgestoßen. Ein leichter „Record Ring“ beginnt  sich abzuzeichnen. Der LP - Rücken ist teilweise etwas abgeschabt, die schwarze Farbe auf der matten Rückseite zeigt an einigen Stellen geringen Abrieb. Es sind aber keine Risse oder sonstige Schäden. (Siehe Fotos)

The album " 40 Blue Fingers Freshly Packed & Ready To Serve " , attracted by the provocative cover quite a stir . It was their first LP, which appeared on the then-new Blue Label BLUE HORIZON . Producer Mike Vernon was a big Blues fan and wanted to publish independently produced records in addition to his work for Decca . That's why he founded the label BLUE HORIZON .



Condition " Very Good" . The LP has a slight "Hairlines " caused by the pulling out and pushing in the innersleeve. In the respective lead-in groove and occasionally between the Tracks and in quiet moments is a soft crackling audible. Some light surface scratches are also visible, but only by a short faint clicking noise noticeable . No deep scratches disturb the play considerably . I have tested the LP with headphones, during playing on loudspeaker this quiet noise is a lot less . Cover: The lamination is still quite well preserved and has only a few signs of wear. The top right corner has a slight bend , and is like the other corners slightly repelled . A slight "Record Ring" is beginning to emerge . The spine is on some parts a bit scraped. The black paint on the matte backside shows in some places low abrasion . But there are no cracks or other damage. (See photos)
