Chillum S/T LP RARE ORIG UK 1971 WITH PHOTO + VERY RARE £1 STICKER See Details . Pro Cleaned On Original UK Mushroom Records creamy white / brown with black print paper labels 100 MR 11 . Please see photos for track listings . Very rare to find nowadays with the original £1 sticker still attached to the front cover ! , with even the record itself now getting harder to find , especially with even a half decent cover , the cover on this one is certainly one of the better ones ! . I have copied some extra info below:

Rare tripped-out classic by an incognito version of Second Hand. The original LP came in a plain white sleeve with stencil sprayed lettering CHILLUM in green, a red stamped Mushroom logo, and a £1 sticker (yes, it really did retail for 1 GBP). In essence, every cover was slightly different! Also included was a photo of the band at the local public urinal!

COVER: Factory single card cover generally in a strong very good overall condition and certainly i would say better than most . There are some usual marks as are nearly always seen in places on this mostly white coloured cover , mainly just a very few very light / pale and very small browning spot marks in places , the odd mostly light bit of age / use related grubiness , but certainly nothing heavy , there is some usual age related foxing etc round the edges and a sticker residue mark in the top right corner on the front  , i think this has taken off a very little bit of the surface paper , but if it has , it is light only , both flipbacks on the rear are intact , there is some again age related foxing / light browning present on the bottom one . The usual but amazingly very very light only ring wear marks are present with just the faintest bit of an impression of the outer edge of the record in places . Some normal useage / age related wear on the side opening edges , mainly just some age related browning on the very outer edges and on the inside close to the edges , there is just some light denting / tiny dinks etc , there is no heavy feathering , just the very slightest bit present on the very outer opening edges , both edges are still straight , there are some usual but very very small bits of fraying / rubbing etc on and just near to the corners , but this is mainly just on the tips , there is some usual rubbing on the edges and the odd light mark and just two or three usual but very small and very light crease crack lines in places round the edges , the spine is plain with no text with some foxing as mentioned previously , the cover is writing free and there are no seam splits . As i say i do really think this is one of the better ones , yes some marks etc but you don't very often find them like this and certainly not with that sticker still attached !! .

INNER SLEEVE: Off white poly lined inner sleeve with cut off and slightly rounded corners , generally in a very very strong very good condition , there is some age related foxing etc present and the usual but very light only ring wear marks , apart from the bottom cut off corners on the poly lining , there are no seam splits and it is writing free , there is just the odd usual bit of very light denting present , unfortunately i can't say if this is the original inner sleeve , i will also be putting the record into a new plain white paper inner sleeve .

INSERT: This comes with the original photo of the band at the local public urinals which is in excellent overall condition with just a couple of extremely light and very very small faint marks .

LABELS: Creamy white / brown with black print paper labels generally in near excellent condition , still very nice and clean with just one tiny dark spot mark at approx eight o'clock and one near pinhead sized one near the spindle hole on S1 label , though i think these could actually have been there from the start and could just be a slight printing error / defect but these are very tiny indeed , there are just a very very few usual but light and small spindle marks , both labels are writing free .

** Please note that the greyish coloured marks and bright shiny patches that are sometimes seen on some of the close ups of the record playing surfaces in the photos are purely a light reflection / glare and are not marks on the record , thank you ** .

RECORD: This LP as you probably all know was unfortunately a well known notoriously poor quality pressing overall , i did just want to point this out , that said , the overall visual grade of the playing surface under normal average household light conditions is a strong near excellent condition with just two or three very very faint non feelable marks only seen at certain angles to the light , really very faint indeed and hardly noticeable , there are a couple of very small again very faint often seen manufacturing dulling blemishes in places , but again only really visible at certain angles to the light , there are just a few usual but extremely light / faint extremely fine whispy type hairlines and sleeve removals in places , there are no nasty gouges / nasty scratches whatsoever , i will also say that most ( if not actually all ) of these finer hairlines are really only more visible when held at certain angles to or under a light . Please note that there maybe the odd tiny dust particle or tiny bit of fluff etc seen on the record in places in the photos off my wiping cloth due to static etc , i can't see them on the record at the time but they sometimes do show up when I take the close up photos , this is also because i do take the photos before i vacuum clean the record , thank you for your understanding . Please see below for audio description .

AUDIO A SIDE: Silent run in has some usual but generally quite light noise . It plays on the whole pretty much close to near excellent overall , beautifully crisp and clear throughout on the music playback with really very little in the way of obvious noise that was worthy of mention , i actually just heard the mostly very very occasional very light pop in places , i also did hear the mostly odd occasional extremely brief single static " sch " type noise in places ( a few more approx around the quarter and half way mark in places ) , i must stress these were light only and not totally constant throughout , i don't really know what causes them , i do actually think they may well be on the actual recording itself as there is nothing obvious on the record to suggest why , plus i think they were too random , as in not a few together one after the other per revolution etc they were just single ones , as i also said earlier , this is also a notoriously and well known poor quality pressing LP which may well have a lot to do with it , but as i said these were light and in my opinion did not spoil any enjoyment , there was one single quite loud tick present near the end , but i don't think it skipped but i can't be 100% sure ( please hear video ) , i have done a full one minute video which shows this and you can also hear a bit of the record , there was no nasty continuous crackle and bar the one mentioned one , no nasty loud ticks , there may just have been the odd light isolated pop that i may have missed . Silent run off has some usual but generally quite light noise . This side on the music really does play and sound great overall and the audio tones are still awesome .

AUDIO B SIDE: Silent run in has some usual but generally quite light noise . It plays pretty much near excellent overall , beautifully crisp and clear throughout on the music playback with really very little in the way of obvious noise that was worthy of mention , i just heard a quite brief bit of light " vinyl noise " / static crackle and the odd light pop on the quieter intro and very start of T1 and the mostly very very occasional but very very light and extremely brief single " sch " type noise in places , there was just one light tick approx close to a third of the way through and one not long after this one   there was no nasty continuous loud crackle and bar the odd mentioned light one , there were no nasty loud ticks , there may just have been the odd light isolated pop that i may have missed . Silent run off has some usual but generally quite light noise . This side on the music really does play and sound great overall and the audio tones are still awesome .

** I do hope i haven't made this out to be really bad in any way as it really isn't , i just like to be thorough with all my descriptions but i can sometimes go a little OTT ** .

The record still retains a very nice shine . Any noises tend to be in short bursts only , are over quickly , are not constant and do not spoil any enjoyment . If any noises are more frequent or louder etc , they will be described separately in the above detailed descriptions thank you .

All in all a nice example of this now rare and very collectable item . I have started this one off at a super keen £199.99p , the extra shown is what Ebay add on for their fees . Thank you very much for your time and interest and happy bidding . Please do read the following ref record gradings explained thank you .

Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times , but displays no major deterioration in sound quality , despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch , some forms of noise will more than likely be heard in places especially on the quieter parts and the odd tick or pop may also be heard in places especially on the quieter parts , but none of this will overpower any of the music in any way , light edge warps etc and some light " dishing " are acceptable but will not affect the play or sound quality at all , any warps that are more prominent will be described in more detail . Please see the descriptions above for the cover condition .

Very Good / Near Excellent: The record has obviously been played but shows no overly excessive play wear . There will be some light only surface marks though most will be just fine hairlines , there will be no major deterioration in sound quality at all though some amount of light noise / occasional light pop may be present in places especially on some of the quieter parts , but none of this will be loud or constant or overpower any of the music , the record will play through perfectly , light edge warps etc and some light " dishing " are acceptable but will not affect the play or sound quality at all , any warps that are more prominent will be described in more detail . Please see the descriptions above for the cover condition .

Near Excellent: The record has obviously been played but shows only light signs of this , a few of the lightest non feelable surface marks being mostly very fine hairlines will be present , but it displays no major deterioration in sound quality . Some brief bits of light noise and very occasional usual light pop / tick will more than likely be present in places and would be acceptable on some quieter parts , but none of this will be loud or constant or overpower any of the music , light edge warps etc and some light " dishing " are acceptable but will not affect the play or sound quality at all , any warps that are more prominent will be described in more detail . Please see the descriptions above for the cover condition .

Excellent : The record shows some signs of having been played , but there is very little lessening in sound quality , light edge warps etc and some light " dishing " are acceptable but will not affect the play or sound quality at all , any warps that are more prominent will be described in more detail. Please see the descriptions above for the cover condition .
