Record Store Day 2016 Release
2016 Reissue on black 180g Vinyl, originally released in 1969
While playing a benefit gig in Shepherd’s Bush in 1968, Christy Moore would meet Irish author and songwriter Dominic Behan, who took the young Moore under his wing and helped bring about this classic folk debut album. Behan wrote four of the 12 tracks and produced the album while Moore collaborated on the music with a group of accomplished pub jazz players brought together by folk scene luminary Steve Benbow. Although released on the major label Mercury only 500 copies were pressed, meaning originals now command prices of around £400.
