Description
This is a two record set with 43 Hot Rod Rock 'N' Roll songs from 1946 to 1987, compiled by Robert Williams. This is NOT Elvis, Chuck Berry or The Playmates. I think I only remember one of these songs, HOT ROD LINCOLN by Charlie Ryan and the Timberline Riders, from 1960. Here's a sampling of the others: HOT ROD BOOGIE by Connie Jordan and the Jordanaires from 1946; I WISH I WERE A CAR by Peter Lind Hayes and Mary Healy from 1955; DRAG, BROTHER, DRAG by Tommy Brewer and the Bee-Kay Quartet from 1957; DRAG RACE by Don Pearly from 1958; SPINNER HUB CAPS by Pat Davis from 1961; HOT ROD HOOTENANNY by Mr. Gasser and the Weirdos from 1963; and WHEELS OF FIRE by Kid Tater and the Cheaters from 1982. The album set comes with a photocopy of an article about the album from the August 1991 issue of Rod & Custom magazine.
I have not played these records. I found them at a yard sale. As far as I can see, there are no scratches on the records. There is a little shelf wear on the cover and you can see where the records have started to split the edges of the cover. NO writing or stains on the records or the cover. Both records have the inner plastic covers.
