Jazz Young Blood album by Chuz Alfred was released Oct 26, 1993 on the Savoy label. This Japanese CD reissues one of the more obscure Savoy sessions. Jazz Young Blood music CDs The original idea was to introduce to the jazz world three of the up and coming players of 1955: tenor saxophonist Chuz Alfred, trumpeter Ola Hanson, and pianist Chuck Lee. Jazz Young Blood songs They are teamed with bassist Vinnie Burke and drummer Kenny Clarke, and certainly play well enough on four of Alfred's originals, an obscurity, and "I Can't Get Started." The only problem is that none of the three young musicians (who were all in their early twenties) apparently ever really made it. Jazz Young Blood album The music is worthwhile cool jazz, with the tenor/trombone front line sometimes hinting slightly at the Jazz Crusaders of a decade later.
