Description
RCA LSC 2313, “Venice”, includes works from La Traviata, Semiramide, The Tales of Hoffmann, L’Italiana in Algeri, and La Gioconda, Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, Georg Solti, Conductor - This is the Classic Records reissue – it is NOT the original RCA pressing. It is one of the best and rarest of all the RCA living stereo LPs. Recorded in England in 1959, the sound and ambiance are spectacular with a very wide and deep sound-stage and huge dynamics. The sound of this Classic reissue is dazzling with extended highs and very powerful low bass. This copy is virtually perfect – I purchased it sealed when it was first released, and have played it only a few times. The vinyl surfaces are clean, glossy, and exceptionally quiet with NO pops, clicks, tics, or skips. There are NO marks and the vinyl looks and plays mint (M). The labels also look new. The jacket has a very slight bend in the upper right corner that was there when I purchased it (see photo) - I will grade it NM-. In summary, this is a NM copy of this wonderful audiophile reissue. Feel free to return for a full refund if not completely satisfied. Shipping is free anywhere in the continental US. Outside the US, buyer pays shipping through eBay's Global Shipping Program.
