Offered here is an original 1975 Columbia Records 45 by Pink Floyd, featuring “Welcome to the Machine” backed with “Have a Cigar,” two of the most iconic tracks from the landmark album Wish You Were Here.
Written by Roger Waters and produced by Pink Floyd, these songs represent one of the band’s creative peaks. Welcome to the Machine is a dark, synthesizer-driven critique of the music industry, while Have a Cigar famously features guest vocalist Roy Harper, after both Roger Waters and David Gilmour were dissatisfied with their own vocal takes.
Unlike many Pink Floyd singles, U.S. commercial 45s were produced in relatively modest numbers, making original Columbia pressings desirable among collectors, especially when paired with two classic album tracks.

Provenance
This record comes from the private collection of a legendary Detroit crate-digger and one-time DJ and bears the unmistakable marks of his preservation techniques, including lightly etching the release year and cataloging notes into the dead wax. Unlike some records from the collection, this example does not appear to have label-protection tape, so that provenance detail has been omitted.
This is “a piece of rock history from an epic collection of rare 45’s, filled with dj copies and promos of early northern soul, doo-woo, rockabilly, detroit garage and psyche rock.”
