Description

I have inherited a record collection I wish to dispose of. I have tried to research it as far as I can and to do so I have prepared a database. However, the information I can give is as follows:

It is a good collection of about 1,000 early classical vinyl LPs, including Decca deep groove SXL, plus SAX and SET along with HMV (inc. white angel), Deutsche Grammophon (tulip and stereo red seal), Philips, Columbia (some blue sliver), RCA and more.

The recordings are chiefly orchestral and sung works by soloists including, Callas, Fischer-Dieskau, Pears, Baker, Ludwig and Schwarzkopf. There are also recordings by pianists such as Rachmaninov, Lipatti, Ashkenazi, Kleiber and Schnabel, plus a range of other instrumentalists.

Most of the discs are very clean having rarely been played and are complete with original inserts. Some of the older sleeves have signs of wear but the majority are in excellent condition and some are still sealed in original clear plastic covers.

A spreadsheet with full details is available on request.
