The Columbia Symphonette – European Screen Deluxe (Soundtracks LP) (1966)
Good hard-to-find Japanese import. Cover is very good.
Featuring cover versions of various 60s continental film themes.
This album comes as a gatefold presentation with bound-in booklet containing photos and Japanese text. The front depicts Claudia Cardinale with gold text/design embossed on an outer paper hardcover. Inside photos include Brigitte Bardot and Alain Delon.
Also included is the Obi strip but no date information is visible. Estimated issue date is 1966.
A small photo is also included. Unknown origin and relevance.
Condition VINYL: G. Looks clean on visual inspection. No obvious signs of any marks, scuffs or hairlines anywhere. Played just pre-listing and sound clarity is only good at best throughout. Static/surface noise and crackling at run-ins and audible during most of each side and during quieter sections. Plays with no skipping, jumping or sticking. An adequate listen overall.
OUTER SLEEVE/COVER: VG. Colours are clear and unfaded. Fabulous main photo of Claudia Cardinale. Textured paper gatefold sleeve with gold text/design embossed on front. Light soiling to edges and top left corner. Scuffs to some corners and centre of bottom edge on right gatefold is split. Reverse side is clean with no defects. Inner gatefold pages present and attached but with foxing and staining round outer edges. Obi strip clean and intact with minor creasing. Small photo included of unknown origin. A decent example overall. INNER SLEEVE: G+. Original. D-shaped clear poly sleeve. Soiling on edge and crimping and creasing but intact.
