Clear Blue Sky – Clear Blue Sky (1970 Vertigo swirl 6360 013) FIRST PRESSING
Hard to find and highly sought after hard rock/prog classic from 1970.
Songwriter and guitarist John Simms was still 17 when they were signed to Vertigo, and this raw and gutsy debut by the three-piece from Acton, West London, was recorded in the summer of 1970.
This is a lovely copy all round: the vinyl is clean, scratch-free and plays great, grading Excellent +, and the gatefold sleeve featuring one of the first Roger Dean album designs has only minor corner wear and a slightly flattened spine. Otherwise it's in Excellent order with no writing, firm unworn edges and clear unfaded colours.
Labels with the famous Vertigo swirl are likewise Excellent.
As a bonus this comes with an original UK Vertigo swirl inner sleeve in VG++ order (just some numbers top right on one side - see photo). This is a French first press (also see photo).
A cracking copy of this hard to locate rock classic - don't miss it!
